There have been a couple of threads asking how to do this recently - there are old threads which list the pot colours but they are scattered around the forums and from a few years ago, so not always easy to find.   I thought it might be useful to have a dedicated thread for it, which hopefully can be moved to the Most Useful Topics section so that it can always be found fairly quickly!

CHOOSING THE COLOUR OF YOUR BALLOON

There are ten different colours of balloon and the colour you get depends on the last digit of the ID number of the pot which you plant it in.

Pot ID number ends in 0 = green balloon
Pot ID number ends in 1 = pink balloon
Pot ID number ends in 2 = yellow balloon
Pot ID number ends in 3 = blue balloon
Pot ID number ends in 4 = red balloon
Pot ID number ends in 5 = white balloon
Pot ID number ends in 6 = silver balloon
Pot ID number ends in 7 = gold balloon
Pot ID number ends in 8 = teal balloon
Pot ID number ends in 9 = orange balloon

FINDING THE ID NUMBER OF YOUR POT

To check the ID number of the pot, hover your mouse over the pot when it's in storage, and then hov

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE FIRST POST BEFORE POSTING A QUESTION ON THIS THREAD, TO SEE IF YOUR QUESTION IS ALREADY ANSWERED AS PART OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

There is a full set of instructions for this in the watering box when you hover your mouse over a fully grown Bamboo plant in your own garden.  It's clear, though, that this still causes some confusion so I thought it would be useful to have the information contained together.   This is an update to include information about the Red Panda and Gorilla.

1.  You must have a fully grown Bamboo plant in your garden.  To plant the bamboo, buy a bamboo pot from the pot shop and hover your mouse over it.  The only option should be to plant bamboo.  If you can't see that as an option, go to the Bonus Seeds section of the seed shop.

2.  You must also have an empty plate.  Make sure that the plate is completely cleared, not just empty, otherwise the bamboo food has nowhere to go.

3. To get the bamboo food onto the empty plate, you need to spot black and white wildlife in other gardens (for example, Giant Panda, Badger, Skunk, Raccoon, Penguin, Magpie, etc).  The garden you spot the wildlife

Frogs - a very simple explanation to get started:

Tadpole
Froglet
Frog
- When you have spottet one of each, you have spottet 'a set' and you are able to attract 1 Land Frog to get spawn.

Next: have a FG Mermaid ready and berries on a high table and an empty high table for the spawn to attract tadpoles.

Low table only goes for spawn and Froglets
High table only goes for Frogs and Tadpoles, so that way you can control what you attract.

- When you have attracted 5 'UW sets', the 5th. Frog attracted will lay spawn.

Remember to keep track on your numbers of tadpoles, froglets and frogs ( ghost frogs included ) spotted and attracted.

If - at some point you need to deter Froglife - a FG  Dulcia deters all Froglife.
