My 2nd shelter kitty is the one I was originally interested in. She has stomatitis (something like that with her teeth/gums). I am fostering her. She had been at the shelter over 3 years! She is still very shy and will only let us approach her when she's lying on one of the cat trees or beds. I'm hoping she will come out of her shell more and learn to trust us.

I have 2 shelter cats. One I adopted this past Spring and she is doing great. Her previous owner wanted her put down but the vet called the shelter. She had issues with peeing in places she shouldn't. She was stressed. They had a toddler and a puppy. She peed on our bed a few times (luckily we had a mattress protecor) and she had a UTI but I put an extra litter box in my bathroom right of my bedroom and she hasn't done it in a long, long time.

kudos to you! having bottle fed 1 week old kittens I know how much effort and cost is involved. All 6 survived. Found homes for them and kept the last one who turned 15 years old in August. Currently feeding a beautiful young tuxedo who I believe was abandoned. It comes after dusk. I worry about it with the cold weather coming. :(
