oh certainly, as soon as the fairytale toadstool has had its "fruit" harvested it serves no further purpose (other than a strange looking garden ornament) taking up space in your garden.
You can of course get rid of a fairytale toadstool whenever you want (may need to change some settings - I can't remember if toadstools are one of "those" plants). Although if fruit isn't harvested by the appropriate fairy, you also get rid of that specific toadstools special fruit.
To be harvested by the fairy it has to be ready for harvest (😄 had to be said).
Once the fairy has harvested the "fruit" it won't attract any other wildlife - at least not yet, and as it can't even be stored (cf rocks) that is unlikely to change.
hoping this doesn't muddy the waters of understanding too much ;)

as for the indigo chick, yes it visited, was spotted, and I finished another quest.

yes, they seem to be in demand :)
although as the sunshine, and emerald plants already gone I mainly have macaw, and okapi on offer now.  Although hoping hares will come hopping down too :)
