LYNN ..... I absolutely LOVED hearing about all your rescues .... and thank you for all your kind words ....
for the past dozen years or so I've been feeding raccoons & possums who visit my yard each night (A mama showed up in the day time years ago & I called my friend who was a wildlife rehabber & she said probably hungry but here's what to look out for just in case it's rabid)! NOPE! NO RABID R'coons here I'm happy to say.  So mom & I fixed a plate of food & after that she began coming later and later till she was coming at night & when she brought her kits I just couldn't believe it! She had 5 babies (one was a runt); OH MY GOSH! they were the cutest things I'd ever seen in my life! Back then I use to fix p'nut butter sammies & cut them in small pieces for their little hands; they got kibble and a fruit of some kind .... they love bananas; grapes; watermelon; cherries; creme cookies; graham crackers that I now order in BULK; & marshmallows & sometimes they'll get Honey & Vanilla yogurt with a cookie on top!  I name them when I can tell them apart .....
2 years ago I had 5 mamas .... by the time they brought their babies I had 19 more mouths to feed so I had to give up o
