you can google before and after pics on google to see what each type come up like they both look ok, but if it was me id go pain cause if you ever do sell, and the person want to change things vinyl would be very hard to paint over. plus could bubble up if not done properly. xx

Hi Kathy, yeah they can be sanded and painted, that would be cheaper to do than putting vinyl over them. And like you said vinyl yuk!! you probably get the quotes tomorrow or monday. xx

Its good you have narrowed it down to 2 choices. And i would say you can paint the cupboards in the kitchen to suit. A lot of people are buying older homes and doing that to the kitchens rather than pulling everything out and redoing them. I know its a cost you probably dont want to do. But you would be surprised at what a professional painter can do to old bathroom/kitchens with a coat of paint.. And you can paint over laminate cupboards i was going to do it in my laundry at the old house. and if you have varnished kitchen cupboards as in tasmanian oak they also come up fantastic in paint renos. xxx🥰😘 other than that i hope you had a good day x
