Morning splash--It is dull and wet looking and I am not in a good mood. Someone rang my phone at 6:30 am and by the time I woke and reached for it it stopped--I hope any of mine would not do that(even if a hunter was sussesful) The vein is synthetic--no more using pig veins. Yes it is the season for the guns,at least for this week. Hope you can get your trip to town in without getting wet. Have a good day

Hello ED, The Alice In Wonderland Art exhibition was mainly my Sorrento art group. A local elementary school contributed art however it wasn't for sale and really did not have anything to do with Wonderland. I know what I would have done if I was the art teacher. As tired as I am I have pulled some of Brian's paintings down off the walls. They are the darker ones and I really want to fill my house with colour. I have many of Brian's colourful paintings still on the walls. Not sure what I will do with the ones I pulled down. I certainly won't give them to the OP shop as today I met a senior management man for the first time. He arrived close to closing time and then started removing paintings from the back room and putting them in the trash trailer. Haha I actually stopped him from trashing one as I told him about the Sorrento art group who could use the canvas to repaint and 2 of the group volunter at the shop on Fridays. He returned it. Sometimes I can be a bossy britches. As I was driving home exhausted after 4 days of working I realised that I should have taken the painting there and then as I will be at the art group on Wednesday. He was going to trash it anyway. Cross at myself. Meanwhile the rain keeps coming down, dinner done, cats inside and no prizes for guessing what I will soon be doing. Enjoy your day.

Hello ED, TY for the Mallard. The Monday Morning Coffee Club didn't really happen due to a downpor of rain. 3 of us met but only briefly due to the weather. Happily the rain meant that the Op shop was full of customers. Close to the end of the day as I was shelving some books a chap of our vintage asked me about a book re, the history of the Shakespeare Theatre. He was holding it in his hands. He then went on to chat about his visit to the theatre in England. Then to question if Shakespeare wrote all of the plays. From there he launched into the Kings and Queens. He certainly knew a lot of history. I asked him if he had formally studied the history and he told me that he just reads a lot. I was becoming anxious as I could see my fellow workers starting to bring things inside to close the shop and there I was chatting. He obviously needed to. In the end I introduced myself and asked him his name and told him if he wanted to purchase the book he really needed to do it now as the shop was closing. Meeting interesting people is something that I love about working in the shop. It is still pouring down here. The race track for the Mwlourne Cup tomorrow will be muddy and all the ladies with their high fashion shoes etc. will have a hard time. Enjoy your day.

splashed---pair of lovebirds ty. It is a bright sunny morning but cold. I did manage and extra hour in bed this morning thanks to the time change,so even made myself a cheese omelet and I am not behind on time. It is sad about the results for the Jays but it sure woke a ton of people up and stirred up national pride. David against Goliath and they almost made it. Now if they can just leave the team mostly as is there should be a few good years ahead.  Yes glad of the help but poor Sagwa did not know what hit us. quiet for so long here.but when they came back with my groceries the nurse came at the same time so chaous reined. Everything got done and then we were able to return to our slow paced life. Not a lot on for today--golf as in the Japan tournament with a number of names that are familiar and didn't look too bad yesterday. Have a good day.
