Morninng splash-- We are waiting for the other shoe to drop. First round is not too bad and traffic is still moving but they are forecasting another bout with old man winter  at around noon today--don't have to go out. Yesterday  The trip up to the hospital went well(I have good taxi drivers and they make sure i get into and out of the building safely)I arrived and 9:20 ,checked in and went  straight into see the doctor. He did his thing (he scraped the wound so it would bleed) aand then the nurse put the coban back on and I was out of there by 9:50. Seen as I was home early gathered up the laundry, gave Sagwa some treats and went downstairs. When I got the clothes in the dryer came back upstairs and fed Sagwa ,gathered the garbage and went back down--nearly blew away trying to push the walker over the snow  in the wind, made it and then scurried back into the warmth and safety. Laundr all done and put away. Today is just odd jobs and maybe catch my poor guy in the office and go for more heat for me. Tea today so that will be nice  long as some people show up--the one lady won't be there as she is getting cataracts done(a whole nest of seniors with a whole bunch of problems. Have a good day and hoping the storm goes on past us.

Hello Ed, I wad sitting quietly eating my dinner and watching the news. Then I was aghast when I saw Naomi Osaka from Japan entering the court in a ridicilous costume. How unproffessional! I don't know how she played however I hope that she lost. Somewhat nasty of me to say that but really! The Australian Open is not a circus. Shaking my head.

Hello ED, TY for the mouse and Ruby seed. I checked out the other side of my house where the trees were overhanging. Now I can have the guttering replaced as it really needs to be. Then I won't have a roof top garden. YAY

Hello Ed, I am enjoying my day. This morning I walked to the coffee shop and met a number of the Monday Morning Coffee Club there, so we sat in the sunshine and chatted. As we were all arriving at different times I stayed longer than I expected. You are correct in saying that the Tyrone Foreshore is in the opposite direction. The Op shop that you saw has a wide frontage however once inside it is about the same as the one I work in. Speaking of Barry Humphries, I loved his Dame Edna Everge. His mother lived a few doors away from me in Camberwell and I often saw him visiting her when I took the children for a walk. I was too in awe of him to speak. However I did chat with his Mum on occaisions. Another funny British show that I enjoyed was, 'Are You Being Served?' The game show that you spoke about re. lies. I have seen once or twice. Usually in Winter when I am inside and knitting. Enjoy your new day.

Mmorning splash-- No snow coming down but it is -16 this morning and I have to go out up to the hospital for follow up with vascular surgeon. My world is a lot better--went down yesterday morning to find out why my locker was not full of my stuff--found out when the removed it from the locker it was not labeled as to where it came from(15 more were the same) So at least I had an answer and would have to wait until the weekend at least. Had a knock on my door about 7 last night and there was the guy from the office with my old walker and informed me my locker was all filled and I could put my lock back on. Thaat problem solved  No more snow but last night was high winds and drifting snow, today is calm but tomorrow we are back to snow and high winds so think I will stay put. Have a good day and hope your grocery shop goes well

Hello Ed, once again we are at each other's gate. My op shop is further along the main street near Woolworths. You were viewing the main trip. I usually avoid it as it is so busy. Well I tend to avoid most shops during the peak season. And I live on the other side of the Penninsula. Much quieter here. Only takes me about 5 - 10 minutes to get into Rye itself. As you stated, I have chosen well. I did google the Tyrone foreshore where the boat shed is but only saw a devastated boat shed from some years ago due to a king tide. I well remember that. Like you, Fawlty Towers would be top of my list re. British Comedy. Did you ever watch Dr. Who? I was a great fan from the early days. Not so much now. Oh and 'Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy'. Loved the books, radio show and then the TV show. Mungo is now being a pill, (that's what I just called him as he keeps jumping up at me) and wants to go inside for dinner. It is still light outside however he is insistant. Enjoy your day.

Ello, ello, Your greeting yesterday reminded me of the British TV comedy show that I loved watching. British comedy is the best. I loved Steptoe and Son. Also the Rag Trade. Many others too numerous to mention. Do you have a favourite? It seems that Sarah and her family cannot make it here for the long weekend due to road blocks and the bush fires. Sad. Thank you for the Peace Dove.
