splashed-- field mouse ty Well they didn't tell me I couldn't so I had another shower this morning and of course much later on here. As I have said I am not a hower person and it is hard to do for me--I have all the equipment but can't move right and don't feel very at ease doing it--but I got all wet and at least the top layers got wet.  We had a dart board in our side room and had lots of games over the years and also were in a dart league at the legion or quite often played for fun on a Fri. night.That got quite technical at times with having to have the right weighted darts. I did have the golf on for most of the day but wasn't really watching it most of the time,it started at 10 am and went until after supper--guess they must have a big field. Will maybe turn it on again but once again I get tired of the announcers yattering about whateveer. Got the laundry all done yesterday and wonders of wonders the loads of laundry all got dry this time now that I have the little contraption to hang them on inside(could put it out on the balcony if we ever get warm sunny weather. Cloudy, overcast and 4 this morning. Have agood day.

Hello Ed, Ty for the Peace Dove. Quiet timely! I cannot claim credit for managements' decision. It is all due to the HIGH cost of petrol here due to the illegal war! Re. Space travel.....I know that it is crazy given what's going on today on Earth. The cost! I am sure that I told you that when I was younger, I wanted to be an astronaut. Dad had a floppy vynal of the astronauts speaking to NASA as they were heading towards the moon. It totally fascinated me. And then the day of the Moon Landing! WOW! Have you read the book 'Hidden Figures.' ? by Margot Lee Shetterly. It is about the true story of the black female mathematicians at NASA whose calculations helped the USA in the race to the Moon. They were known in NASA as 'human calculators.' A facinating read and a film was made about it however not as good as the actual story. I enjoyed the film. Now I REALLY must go to bed. Hello ED, I am glad that you had a good number of dart games. Re. Harry and Meghan, it is not a Royal tour and I don't think people really want to spend $2000 per ticket to hear Meghan speak. I am home again after my afternoon at the Op shop. Lots of customers due to the rainy day. Not beach weather. Interesting note to volunteers. We have to try to avoid throwing things into the trailer for the tip due to the high cost of petrol and higher tip fees. If it is in good condition then it MUST go into the shop. Prices must be reduced. MY HEART SANG! I hope that when you finally get to read 'Orbital' that you enjoy it. Timely with Artemis returning to Earth tomorrow although the crew on Artemis have only been away from Earth for a week or so. Facinating seeing the dark side of the moon. Have a great day!

Morning splash--field mouse ty.. It is bright sunshine and we have cold weatheer but rain moving in this afternoon and hopefully warmer weather.Tea was sort of a disjointed afair as some people got mixed up with the holiday putting some people out. The one  lady went and knocked on a few doors and we were back to normal. They have finally got the new locks on the storage room doors so had to pick up that key --only trouble is its the same key for the whole building--so we will see if there is some dishonest people around although it is individual locks on the lockers so may still be fine.Off down now to try and get the wash done--Have a good day

Hello Ed, dinner done and I will soon be in bed. Funny story re. me slipping up with names. When my daughter Hope was born, David and I decided to give her his mother's name as a middle name. Lesley had passed away before Hope was born. When our local Priest came to chat about her Christening he hesitated and then told us to say her name out loud. Hope Lesley Briggs. We were both horrified and Hope had been registered from birth with that name. David said "Well her name has to be Hope Dianne Briggs."  And that was how she was Christened. We didn't think any more about that until Hope applied for a passport. Happily it was all sorted and she got her passport. Now I must  go to bed as my lights are flickering which means a power failure. I had better find a torch. Enjoy your day.
