Hello Ed, good on you for putting your flag up. We must honour are fallen heroes and never forget the tragedy of the wars. Last week we celebrated ANZAC day. Brian and I always went to the dawn service. Sadly I haven't gone to one since his passing. The other book that I am reading is about the Australian WW1 nurses and today a children's book came into the shop about one of the nurses. It reminded me that I want to write a book for children about Sister Vivian Bullwinkle an Australian nurse captured by the Japanese in WW2. When Sarah was here 8 yo Jaxon came into my bedroom and spotted the book about WW1 nurses. "That is about ANZAC" he said. I was pleased that he noticed. Then he trotted off with his football. Oh well another visit and hopefully another conversation. Enjoy your day as I am preparing for bed and a book.

Hello Ed, I didn't know that Harry spent a short
time working on an Australia farm during his gap year. Seems like he loved it and then the Papparazzi spoilt it for him.
When I woke this morning it was so cold I nearly put the heater on. Resisted. I worked this afternoon at the Charity shop. Mainly concentrating on the Children's reference books and moving them to the main book area. Books for children are hidden away near the toys. Enjoy your day.

Blood tests back. It's not great. Have appointment with vet tomorrow to talk about next steps. It's something to do with his liver.

Morning splash --it is cloudy at the moment but so far thise arewhite clouds. Yea--well we didn't have tea because the one lady had appointments(think follow up on her big surgery last year to remove a cancerous bone from her face) but the other onewho actually runs tea--she decided the sun was shining so she was going golfing.. I did have some books for the book shelf so went down atthat time just in case but no one showed up so just put my books in the shelf and found a couple that I wanted to read. I guess memoirs are just what you want to remember' I did think of doing that at one time so that the kids would have it(they have heard all the stories from around here . A few things to do today and then it will be the weekend--think it is the Byron Nelson tournament this weekend so should have all the known names playing. Have a good day and now you can rest for a hour or so seen as the windows are clean!!!

Hello Ed, I guess that I have to read on re. Harry. You have said that you identify with him. How? I am currently going between 2 books. The one about Harry and the other one about the Australian Nurses in WW1. Both facinating. I will need a lighter read soon. Once again I am sitting out side listening to the surf as I write to you. I tried to get 6 yo Liam to sit still and listen to the surf. Fail, as the TV was always on. Sigh. This morning when I got up the children were already watchting TV and both parents glued to their phones. Quite sad really.
