I can only guess, but I think sometimes parents can't afford to miss work and take care of their sick children, so they send them to us, filled to the brim with medicine, so that at first glance all is well. When the medics stop working, the kids start showing symptoms and we have to seperate them from the others, call the parents and have them picked up. Which can't be fun for the parents either, but yeah, you get what I mean. Fortunately many parents are responsible parents and let their sick kids stay at home.
