Since your Mom's decline was so sudden and related to her going in the nursing home, ...it may be related to a Rx they put her on to ease her anxiety/depression, whatever. Sometimes new mess don't mix or the desired effect doesn't happen and it snows them.
Also in the elderly,.the liver and kidneys don't function like they used to and mess don't get cleared as efficiently,  resulting in increased levels in the blood. If you're up for a bit of research, ask for a list of your Mom's mess. Including the dosage and frequency.  Ask a pharmacist to take a look and see if there's any red flags. I have seen medication be the culprit in many cases.of cognitive decline. Worth looking into anyway.  So sorry your sisters aren't helping. Always seems that there's the one kid in the family that the decision making falls to. Hang in there! Good luck with your taxes! Sending love hugs and rubz 💟
