As a rescue, who may have experience trauma with his original family (who abandoned him when they moved house) Old Man Turkey gets a little skittish with unfamiliar sounds and smells. He used to run and hide at the sound of men's voices.
My adult sons helped calm him over time. Whenever they visit, they've been gentle with him and now he's more relaxed and loves to loaf on their laps 🥰
