The Orangutan is particularly fond of the Enchanted Forest Amethyst so planting more of these will increase the attraction to your garden.
The Thornbloom Herbs will help to deter any Macaws, Tree Frogs, Sloths and Gibbons  from your garden

Yes that is correct about the vases.
They can be confusing.
I made a few mistakes along the way

That grotto is a 4 mile hike (8 miles round trip) from either side. Permits required april thru october.
You can take Bob Bear trail from Strawberry, AZ, or the Flume trail at parking lot 2 on the camp verde side. 8 miles, very little shade either route.

Even though the strawberry side has major elevation change, I prefer that hike because there isn't a 2 hour dirt road drive before and after it.
