Morning! I did not sleep well.  It's cloudy and humid today.  We will probably only do a short walk.  I am going to make a grocery run today and include the Home Depot trip.  I might take a nap later too. 
I use the vinegar and water too on the ants when I have them.  It works pretty good.  They also don't like minty smells, so you might try spraying with diluted mouthwash (50/50) with water.  I use that to keep the mosquitoes away when I go outside.  Charlie is a very selective guard dog.  He only barks at inanimate objects and dogs when we are walking.  Enjoy Landman.  Stay cool.
