Sam phoned this morning on the way to her stained glass class. She was hoping to finish the pineapple. I've promised to show her your message about the black 'metal' on your pieces, she was really interested.

She was also telling me that over the Easter holiday they took the boys sailing and Henry loved it. That boy loves everything that happens outside! The upshot is from Saturday he's going to have sailing lessons at 10 until 12 then an hour for lunch before he learns to plays tennis. He's also taking crown green bowls lessons and add to that his gymnastics means that child never stops. Austin's a very good tennis player and he plays cricket too. Sam says with both of them going here and there it's a good job they are a 2 car family, Jordan in one direction and her in the other.

I know I'm often up late but I keep the noise to a minimum. Daryn goes to bed really early sometimes I'm sure he's in bed by half past 9 and I'd hate to disturb him. Doesn't Nick realise people can hear his music at that time or do you think he dropped off to sleep and didn't turn it off. That man's a pain.

I also had the car insurance renewal today, I'm going to check what I paid last year but I'm convinced it's gone up a lot. The problem is the nearer I get to 80 I want to be with a company who's not going to fleece me.

I've had a headache on and off today so I'm going for an early night. I'm wondering if I had enough to drink yesterday, I think that can cause a problem. I've made up for it today with lots of fluids, mostly tea!!

Hi Janet, its been another lovely day we reached 66 just my kind of weather.  I finally managed to get the bird seed so they'll be happy I've got food for them for tomorrow.

I have the news on at the moment and am listening to the news about cyber attacks on M&S, Harrods and the Co-op stores. M&S have been having all sorts of problems since last weekend and now they're not taking orders on line or over the phone and their food halls are short of produce it must be doing them so much harm.

I've just been filling in a government form to renew my driving licence. When you reach 70 you have to renew it every 3 years. Fortunately there's no driving test, although it's been suggested that over 70s should take a test every so often. Since there's not enough people to test those who are learning where do they think they'll find more to test the likes of me.

all good here.  Mom is doing fine (mostly)
I got my eyes checked yesterday.  Dilated.  I hate that.  Can't see squat for hours.  But my eyes are fine.  Cataract in both eyes but not effecting vision yet.  Some year i'll need surgery like everyone else.

How are you and Don?
