I just googled the question of what was stripping the bark off of my burning  bushes, and the answer was voles, rabbits and squirrels. I know I had 3 rabbits all winter eating the fallen birdseed, so that will be my best guess. I had so much rabbit poop on my drive that it was yucky to walk over to fill the feeder.
Emily fell asleep on my chest this afternoon. So glad she picked me.
Tomorrow is sewing Saturday at the library from 9-4. I hope to get there around 10 and chat and sew with whomever is able to come. I am still working on squares for a quilt started in 2006. Someone asked me how long it takes to make a quilt. I say a week of nonstop sewing to 6 years, or 20 in this case. These are block kits that a quilt shop gave out to sell the rulers to make the blocks and to get you to come into the shop. I finally have got them almost all made. It is delft blue, white and a touch of yellow. If I can get all of the blocks done before August, I can assemble the blocks at a quilt getaway. I love assembling quilts at a getaway since hotels have lovely open floor space for laying out the pieces and deciding on the design.
