Ive heard people say it does but does it?

I don't believe so - I have certainly never seen it make any difference in my own garden.

But you will get plenty of people who are convinced that it does :)

I have never seen any evidence in my own garden that it makes the slightest difference - as long I have a good setup I get the animals I am trying for.

I've heard some people carry on that it's of vital importance, and in the past I've even had what might be called 'nasty' messages left on my back wall by insane fairies insisting that I rearrange my garden o_O

but frankly I think it doesn't make one bit of difference - certainly in my garden it has never mattered.

some plates are always better than others, but in the end it all evens out, no matter how good or bad it might look at any one point

Where's Kevin !. There was a very long thread on the old forums, apparently by reading the code (or whatever it's called !) it was proven it can make a difference. The computer 'reads' the garden from left to right or vice versa, so if your garden is read from left to right, and you put the mushy on the far left, it will be 'read' first, and work better. I don't understand it all, but there was some pretty good evidence. However, a good set-up is still the most important thing, and I keep my mushy in the middle because it looks the best there !

I also say "no" .

One part of this game is always time. Eventually everything happens.  Wait long enough, and you will get your unicorn / albino badger, yes?

So, frustrated in waiting, people do all sorts of things. They harvest the plants, and grow new ones. They change the mushroom. They buy expensive magical pots, they plant pink flowers, they move the mushroom to left right and center, they dance naked in the moonlight - and what do you know, the unicorn arrived!! Immediately after doing all this (and, let's face it, waiting for x time)!

I also know that some technical people are sure that positions matter, so you never know. I just don't believe that, before the developers tell us that it is true.

I say no too.  I had any amount of (uninvited) advice about how to attract an albino badger to my garden which included frequent changing of the position of my plants and using white pots.  I did not heed any of it, and the badger came in his own sweet time to my symmetrical garden, which is how I like it.  I think it's a lot of hype, personally, although people will claim they *know* it does make a difference.

Oh, Ann, I've just noticed that you are the OP, lol!

Have to say, postion I don't think means much - unfortunately I had my first Albino badger visit me within weeks of me starting to play fairyland - unfortunate, because at that stage I really didn't have any regular waterers to actually spot it!  And trust me, at that time, I had no special pots, no special mushrooms, no special positions, foods, tables, lucky underpants etc. :)

Haven't tried a badger garden since - will get back there one day and hopefully the albino waltzes in as easily as it did the first time (unspotted)!

Peta are you trying to tell me lucky underpants aren't going to make a difference? o.o

I don't subscribe to the positions theories or specific pots (except praecocias and whatever other one or two actually NEED certain pots) blah blah, but I was sure my favourite granny undies were working wonders for me - now you burst my bubble ;-;
