They still confuse me even though I made it to blue. I had a red chameleon out but then I found 10 more and it was changed to Orange. So now I have 2 Orange and 2 yellow but no red. Does this mean I plant another red or can I get rid of an orange and plant a red again. Or do I even need a red at this point.

Don't get rid of anything.  You need all of the colours, and they all start with red.

Plant a new red.  Change one of your oranges to yellow by spotting oranges in other gardens.

You'll then have three yellow, change two of them to green by spotting  yellows.

You'll then have three green.  Change two to blue by spotting greens, so you have three blues.  Change two of the blues to indigo, so you have two indigo, then change one of the indigo to violet.

Too late now. I deleted an Orange since I thought a red was needed too. so i planted a red. It's ok though, I just went back to the way it was.
