can we reset the gold critters

There seems to be no incentive to spot gold critters after you have spotted 3 of a certain kind. Would it be an idea to reset the number every year as to be able to get the gold dust for that critter? That way it would renew the incentive to spot gold wildlife and rekindle the magic that comes with it.
