Why so many Green Grubs?

Could it be two consecutive "bad" plates of food that has caused more than half of the Caterpillars spotted in our garden this time around with the Wrigglies to be green? I'm pretty sure that the caterpillar that attached itself to our last rainbow flower was Indigo, so I would think that we would have a few more blue or indigo . Thanks for thoughts on this.

I think it is just luck of the draw...sometimes there is a run on specific colours...generally not the ones that you are hoping for...but they seek out a bit of loving, hoping that you will accept them despite their colour. They will appeal to someone I am sure...so get those adoption papers ready.

You help me get everything into the proper perspective, Mary. Thanks so much for your always positive attitude about all things Fairyland.

In a similar vein, I remember being told that the lowly red caterpillar would likely not become a rainbow butterfly...and there were frantic moments in all the higher up gardens while people waged battle for a violet or indigo...suspecting that they would be granted rainbow butterfly status. Well, all that I could find were the red ones, the ones that no one wanted, and while those who had discovered a violet or indigo caterpillar had lovely butterflies corresponding to the colour caterpillar that they found...it was my red ones who blossomed into the rainbow butterflies.

Well, something like that couldn't happen to a more helpful person.   :D
