You have to dump the food until the violet egg starts to crack.

Nothing.  It's just that the eggs all attract all of the lower colours, as well as the colour of the egg, so the higher colours are harder to get.

If you wanted to guarantee a violet chick you'd need a violet egg and an indigo one.  The chick goes to the lowest colour of egg it can, so if the indigo wobbles you'd need to ditch the food and try again.  If the violet wobbles, it will be a violet chick.  That method takes patience (a LOT of patience!) and quite a bit of babysitting your garden.

I thought I had it right with the two violet and one indigo to stop it.. but maybe the Indigo cracked first leaving the two violet open for anything.. I will need to babysit better when I get another set up..and with superfood - if it's under 2 hours I can't dump it.. :-(  yet very hard and lots of paitience needed I guess .. thanks

If you let the indigo wobble continue and the chick is spotted, the twin/triplet will come from the other eggs.  The indigo only protects the violet IF you dump the food to try again.  You don't need two violets, just the one.
