You should be able to use the fish for the pottery lottery, unless you've already attracted one seagoat and need to get another one to fill in the box.

But you can apparently still get the pelican - there was a thread the other day discussing it.  This appears to be the way to do it (copied from that thread)

Forgot to mention that this method works only if you have a pending plant in the space under your garden icons and only up to 7 days after it has dissappeared from the shop. You can't plant it directly into your garden...
 
  Step 1: fill your garden with empty pots/plants
  Step 2: click on a valid self-gifting link from this post (https://www.fairylandgame.com/fbfairy/forums.php?tid=184522)
 
  Now you will see a pending plant just underneath your garden icons.
 
  Step 3: while your garden is still full, click on the pending plant (do not plant it) and then click on your address bar. Here you can change the 4 digits at the end to the plant id you want (in this case the previous Zodiac, so 5028). Click enter and voilà.... now your pending plant is changed to the Zodiac.
 
  Step 4: remove something from your garden and click on the new pending plant. Now you should have planted it in your garden.
