Frogs

I don't get it. I have looked at guides and anything I can else I can find. But I still don't get it. In my mind if I find 10 tadpoles and 10 froglets then I'm due 10 frogs. But I don't think that's right. And when does the frogspawn come in. I need hand holding with this one. Fairyland has officially stumped me.

Wait, I looked in my guide and see if did get 8 frogs for the 8 tadpole and froglets. So where does the spawn come in

Not quite how it works.  Underwater frogs, yes, 10 tadpoles and 10 froglets spotted in yours will give you 10 underwater frogs, but since you haven't started with frogs yet, you have to start with land frogs to get your first spawn.  Every 5th land frog will give you spawn. You have 7 land frogs already spotted in your garden, so you would need 3 more to get spawn.

To know whether you are due any land frog, you look at the numbers of sets spotted in other gardens, a set is tadpole, froglet and uw frog (including ghostly frogs).  For each set spotted, you get 1 land frog to visit yours.   Once you have spawn and go underwater, you can then start the breeding cycle underwater with tadpole, who will then return as froglet and underwater frogs.  If you post your numbers of how many you have spotted in other gardens, I can tell you how many you have due.

Hi Patricia - you need to have also spotted 10 adult uw frogs to have 10 complete sets of frogs spotted.  You get one land frog for every complete set - tadpole, froglet and adult uw - that you have spotted.  When you have spotted 10 adult (including any ghost frogs) you will be able to attract 3 more land frogs, your 10th land frog will drop spawn on an empty plate in your garden when it is spotted.

Ok, I thought i was getting it, now I'm lost again. I'll save these messages and reread again later. Eventually it will click in my head. Tonight's not the the night though. Thanks Marike and Peta.

As has been said, you need to start on land but your 1st. frog will drop spawn and then every 5th. thereafter. Start on land with your spawn from that 1st. frog then go under water and do more breeding there. You then go by how many are attracted in yours not what you spot....spotting is for land frogs but you're now under water :)  To make it simple for myself, i know that i can't have any froglets until i get tadpoles, so if i have say, 8 froglets then i know i must have had at least 8 tadpoles come to mine...so i go by my froglets attracted in mine and know that however many i have had, i will get the same amount of frogs....every 5th. will drop spawn....:)
