I did the tasks for January easy and intermediate. I recieved the regular pot from the easy task. From the intermediate task I won the unusual pot. Should I not also get the regular pot for completing the task? I have only been back from December and I am not too sure how this works.

I first thought that too because i thought you received the regular pot for participating as such, so then if you won a "proper" pot then you should also still get the regular one but it's more the fact that if you don't win the :proper" one, as a consolation prize, you get the regular one.

I did the task because I liked the regular pot. The fact is that I won the " proper pot " because that is the one that goes into the lottery it should be a bonus.

Yes but it’s a lottery, so it’s just “potluck” (sorry 😊) if you win but if you don’t then as i said, you get the regular pot as a consolation. I often like the regular pot more than the “proper” one anyway and have only won once and didn’t get the regular pot with it.

It isn't, though. Originally there weren't going to be regular pots, just the limited edition ones. If you didn't win one of those, you wouldn't get anything. Like a real-life lottery, I suppose. People complained because of the amount of time and resources the quests take, so the regular pots were released as consolation prizes - so there's a prize every time.

So if I do 2 entries and the one wins the Proper pot would the other entry get the regular?

Doing it more than once doesn’t mean you can win that many times, you just have more chances to win once…

You could win two limited pots with two entries. But if you get the limited one you still wouldn't get the regular. It's one or the other.

Oh i’ll take back what i said above then because i thought it was like a lottery where you buy say 5 tickets to win a prize and that gives you 5 chances, not the chance to win 5 of the prize….
I do however understand that you only win one or the other.

It's a bit like a raffle where you buy multiple tickets - if one of your tickets is drawn out of the bag and wins, your other tickets all still stay in the bag so can also be drawn for another main prize :)
