Hi all!

While I realize that we are able to set a status and have a garden description, not everyone changes these frequently and not everyone reads them as they water. I would like to suggest an option to pin a post on the front and back wall of our own garden.

I feel like this might come in handy for those fairies that freeze or are changing up their garden.

Currently when we post in our own feed noting when we will return or what is coming next for our regular visitors, the posts get lost (pushed down) in the feed as new visitors leave their messages. Allowing us to pin and remove a post as needed so that visitors can still leave their message, but leaving our post at the top would be a welcome option.

Thank you for allowing me to play in your gardens for the last 18 years!

It's been brought up before by others, me included and am happy that it's come up again. Yes, we can post things in our garden status but mine never changes but it's not all about me of course haha but if it can be done, then why not be able to pin something that stays on the top of your page....even if you ask for people not to post so it stays there, it doesn't, which is fine but if it's at all possible to do it, then why not...please? Thank you :)

No thank you. We already have places to permanently 'pin a post' on our front walls - Garden Owner and About This Garden sections. It's already bad enough when people post restrictions on who can water in those sections (I was recently blocked because I usually use regular food and spotted something in a public garden that uses organic - they posted on my back wall, so I know), to have a pinned post could make things worse and/or make it feel more legitimate to have these types of messages.

Also, if someone is blocked (garden owner blocking or waterer blocked the garden owner), you can't see wall posts, only Garden Owner and About This Garden sections. So the message wouldn't even reach everyone - and I realize that if one or both parties have blocked the other, they might not want to water there, but when it comes to spotting (rare wildlife that only has a couple gardens available), then I'm going to water/hope to spot, even if I can't post a thank you.

My suggestion is to move the wall messages to the right of the screen and the Garden Owner/etc. to the left of the screen because most languages are read from left to right, so most people will see the Garden Owner section/writing/etc. if it was placed differently in the game. I don't know how easy a change that would be, but it would better than adding a pinned post that probably will be abused by some (and yes, I report those types of messages and again, I don't want to make it feel legitimate to say those types of things).

The thing is, we can post in the spot where "we" want a pinned post now anyway, it's just that we would have the option to "pin" it if we want and delete it when we want, if we want. It wouldn't be to post anything bad as we aren't allowed to do that now, in the garden status as it is,,so there is no difference...We can post something now and hope it stays there but it doesn't,  so then we need to keep posting it, copying it, so that it is seen but why do that all the time, when we can just keep it there? It's no different to what it is now as i said but it's just convenience that's all. :) I have been posting, that i have something important due on one of my vases and also now, how many of such & such i need spotted etc. and am happy that people have posted but it gets lost, so i keep having to redo it. Not the end of the world but just convenient :)

PS...can't edit, haha! A pinned post won't give anyone any more right to post "bad things" any more than they have now....it's  just what we do now but not all the "hassle" of redoing it over and over. :)

I understand why people want a pinned post, but I don't agree. I think we should use what we already have available to us. And honestly, people are going to water and post without reading a pinned post anyway, given that there are plenty of gardens that ask others not to post, so it's moot to have a pinned post, especially when people can have a permanent message in other places on their garden wall.

IMO, your status is as good as a pinned post. It’s just that some fairies simply never bother to update theirs or read it.  Regardless of where you put a message, there will still be plenty who never notice it or ignore it.
