I’ll let someone else answer that question, as I’m really not sure.  However, what is more important with the Rainbows, is to complete all of your spotting requirements for it first, before you start to do the attracting, as that will significantly reduce the number of UW seeds you need overall, and take some of the frustration out of completing the challenge.

I reckon 2-3 uw toadstools per color is enough, if only going underwater when you have the mushroom rfh and returning to land to grow next mushroom.
