I would say concentrate on levelling up first and look at scroll quests you can do alongside them.

Do continue to level up. Quests are worth starting. A long thing in the end, but will be worth it. Quests to consider - mice, winter, even dragons.

Also, when you have space, put out a nest for birds to build. Doesn't really matter what builds it early on in your fairyland adventure. Store once complete or nearly complete.

With some diamonds, you should get more storage shelves. If you spot high value creatures, perhaps use those diamonds to buy diamond dust.
