Wildlife guide - Billy goats are attracted to any flowering buttercup and eats grass. Always harvest buttercup first into teacup, dust up teacup immediately after getting grass.

You have the correct toadstool planted Polly and in a days time it can be harvested into the teacup. You will also need to replant your grass toadstool to have grass ready to harvest after your buttercup is ready.

Grrrr I didn't realise! I'm out of toadstools now, so I've wasted toadstools. I'm so annoyed with myself. I'm on the hunt ofr more toadstools but have a long way to go. Thanks for your help x

So to be totally prepared I would suggest that you also plant up the deterrent toadstools (light pink pot for the knapweed and dark purple for the nightshade) - these are used after your buttercup gets turned from small to medium (harvest the knapweed and dust to fully grown to deter small billy goats) and then when the buttercup goes from medium to large (harvest the nightshade and dust to fully grown to deter medium billy goats).

I would store your teacup then, and don't let your buttercup be harvested until you are ready with your next grass toadstool - the buttercup toadstool will be quite happy just sitting there until you are ready.

I've just got a toadstool seed! That was lucky :-) So, rather than do anything now, is it best to wait until I get more toadstools? Or continue? Sorry, I've not been in the game really for a few months due to the pressures of work (I work in a busy hospital) but am off at the moment until next Monday.
