A friend told me to open the gift under my newly completed tree to find Superfood.  Somehow I missed it!  Can you help me figure out what happened??

You should have superfood if you click on your tables it should allow you to to put out free superfood once you open your newly made tree which from what I can see you’ve opened your gift so you will have that available until January 1st. Have a look at your food it should say superfood (free) and then it will say how long at the bottom of that.

Your tree says it’s only a couple days old that is correct but you need to remove the food off your tables in order to put out your superfood

If it was an incomplete tree from last year, then no you won't get the gift.

From news page...
Important: you must plant and decorate a brand new tree to get this year's gift - if you continue with a partially completed tree from last year, then you won't get the gift.

Yes what Aurora said is correct has to be a tree that you made this year from the gift shoppe otherwise unfortunately if you continued a tree from last year and finished it this year you’ll need to decorate a tree from this year and complete and then you’ll get the free sf

You don’t need to empty trays before opening the gift. The only thing you need to do is make sure that it is a completed tree from this year.
Obviously you have to empty the trays before you can put any superfood on them, but you will still get your free superfood gift as soon as you open your tree gift (you just won’t be able to use it until your trays are empty)
