Most  of my advent days are elf critters
There is way more people looking for elf critters than there is people hosting elf critters
Not to mention white mice are only on low feeding tables
There is hardly any options for us to find elf white mice
Not to mention maybe a lot of people don’t want to have Santa snow men taking up space cause they are fairly ugly compared to all the other cuter snow man combos

What pops up in the advent calendar is random. I personally wouldn't like to see the wildlife in it reduced any further as it's already a small pool and we'd just get more repeats. I've had endless festive mallards tin mine his year, that kind of repetition will only get worse if there's less wildlife to choose from.

You can unlock all the colours of each light, just by attracting in your garden, I've done most of mine this way so far. The mice are super easy to attract with low plates of berries, nothing else feeds on those. So there's no need to rely on other gardens being set up to spot in, just set up your own garden accordingly. If you spot any as well that's a bonus.

Its pretty random, I  got Robins 3 days in a row but I did still manage to get my lights for those days. It really helps that we can attract as well as spot

I am trying to get my first snow man Santa made so I can do that but it’s taking ages unfortunately some days I use all my sprinkles up and get only one or have to go back a day
Is it possible to get Arctic hare or fox on an advent ?

No.  Nor snowy owls or pygmy festive/elf mice.  They were removed already to make the calendar easier.

I got Party Ducks most of the time!

Mine's elf white mice - 7 out of 13 days so far.  I don't mind; less setting up to do to attract the wildlife for the day if it keeps staying the same.  And if I want to hunt, I can just keep using the same bookmarked gardens without having to find new ones.

I wonder if when we get to the halfway point(getting closer every day) whether things will mix up a bit more? Maybe not as a limited number of critters to draw from. I am finding, of my friends' gardens, that there is less interest this year in keeping a seasonal garden. Some are doing quests including pottery lottery ones...and then others are doing challenges that they had not done yet and some are doing vases. Last evening for the elfin mouse, I had only two gardens in my friends' list who were doing them. I like to hunt in friends' gardens primarily as it keeps me connected to them. It would be interesting to know how many are doing these garlands. With the option to put the door away into storage, it is harder to know.
