Am I preventing the Baby Tortoise from coming by adding a Bellis to deter the Adult Tortoise? I know you can even remove the parent once the baby is in the bubble but do the same Bellis deterrent rules apply to the baby? I never had this situation before but I need to keep the strawberry for when I return to TOPS …

Hi Rona, the Wildlife Guide states, for Baby Tortoise, "Unlikely to visit your Garden if there's a Bellis Lycaena flowering."  So I think the answer is that the Bellis will deter the Baby and Adult Tortoise.

Gosh … I don’t know where I was looking because I just double checked the baby section and you’re right. It clearly says the Bellis will deter it. Thanks again, Ruby. I hope I haven’t messed up my whole programming but adding the Bellis. Darn it.
Since I muddled up the title at first with a “Baby Badger” instead of a Baby Tortie and had to delete the post ….I’m thinking maybe I looked at THAT one instead of reading the Baby Tortie description. I think that’s what I did wrong.

You don't want to know how many times I messed up with the bellis and tortoise. Almost every single time when trying to attract a tortoise to trim a topiary bush. It is like I have a mental block with those two.

Hahaha… Mary … I think I’ll be following suit especially when I get back to TOPS .. thanks for sharing so I don’t feel quite so silly. I only keep the Tortie there expecting to return to TOPS any day … but months have gone by and I’ve still so many open Quests to try to finish first .  LOL
