Bunny Business quest level 1

Hello I just started this quest. I was going through the list for hares and I spotted a gold hare right away. The quest is active but it did not count the gold hare. Does anyone know why? The quest says that any bunny and any hare will count for animals spotted. I took pics with my phone of the spot and the quest but don't know how to share them here. Thank you.

The gold wildlife don't count, presumably because they are ordinary animals which change to gold and aren't easily available - and because it would be a right pain to attract one and then have to match it with a second
