I just topped my plates with SF and forgot to go private before again.
Can't there sth be done to the thing that you can't go private when the plates are not empty, now I can't ask fairies to leave the birds for my friend or I'll get banished again and that is not fun.

I also got banned from the forums and I have no idea why it's been ages since I've been here.

In answer to the first part, no.

These restrcitions were put in place precisely to stop this behaviour and people flip flopping in and out of private to just help their friends.

You can put for yourself in your backwall like a sticky note .. with capital letters to have empty plates to go private always leaving that note at the top .. I use those posts to remember things It has helped me

Thx Flavia, I really really try to remember, but sometimes circumstances make you forget ... like just now, my sis was here en was talking to me and I topped the plates (only had a few min left) and forgot. It's very stupid, very stupid, but it really is dreadful because I wanted to help my friend with T-Rex with my dino SF. It's just a bit sad.

I understand the reason, with the flip flopping but it is really upsetting this way too. So sorry if people don't agree with me.

Well if its superfood from dinos you just have to wait the 2 hours and remove plates and then go private .. thats the great thing of this dino food to be able to change plates

It sounds like that was the last of your free dino superfood for the month...so the good thing is...that you claimed it one last time. Your friend can still water your garden and be hopeful in spotting. I try to limit my visits when I want my garden quieter to potentially help someone. Going private has its own issues because when you do that for a specific someone and not for everyone else who is on your friends' list...it makes for hard feelings. It makes one feel left out and unappreciated. Well, that is how I feel and I suspect it does to others. I have dropped friends over this issue because what is the point in visiting when you can never water...yet they can water freely in yours. I like the change and to be honest, would like that there is no option to go private but this option is better than it once was.

Agreed Mary. I believe the option to privatize not only gives some players an undue advantage for challenges, potlot etc. it also undermines the fabric of fairyland as it discourages mingling, new players and leaves public players feeling ostracized and unappreciated. Obviously in some cases, not all, it is being used as a gaming strategy. An unfair one in my humble opinion. From what I understand privatizing was somehow instituted to stop meanies from harassing other fairies. What I don’t understand is why the meanies weren’t banned instead of providing a way for players to create subgroups away from the public game platform. It’s inevitable it would cause division. In my opinion that isn’t what Fairyland is about. The Fairies that do privatize aren’t doing anything wrong and are playing within the rules. I am only expressing my opinion.

I agree with Mary and Miss. I wish there wasn't an option to go private and all fairies have a chance to water in every garden and no one gets priority. Sorry but i have always felt like that.

I don't understand why it bothers anyone that a garden can be private. There were times when people would be very upset when garden owners would place signs that said "Do not water." This was a solution, and it allowed everyone to play the way they chose. Many other gardens are public for all of us to hunt in. In my opinion, nothing needs to change.
