OK, 1 fairy dust, the mushroom and 1 wand for vases. Yes, lots of combos, but the mushroom is the common denominator, so if I chose Sunshine, mushroom and Naughty and it says that 2 are corrected and I've gone through all the other combos, what am I missing?

I had 2 correct and figured out that the dust and the wand were correct but I tried every mushroom and none of them worked and it takes so much diamond dust for the mushrooms.

Which vase are you working on?
For the Phoenix or the unicorn, you need a regular mushroom - agaric, gathering elves, golden deceiver, gathering pixies, amethyst parasol, gathering fairies, or pink cap
For the baby unicorn you need an enchanted mushroom - enchanted pink, enchanted black, enchanted white, enchanted baby, enchanted golden, or enchanted rainbow.

Now I used so much diamond dust I won't be able to do any of those until I get more. I would do more of the other kind but I didn't want to use the pots they take because I like them.

Diane you can try hunting in extintcs and chicks on the bath to get more gems .. actually I am doing that now since I run out of gems

Janet...I suspect that the gold was wasted through the purchase of the regular dusts like love dust....if you keep trying the mushrooms over and over...you still have to have the regular dusts to check whether the mushroom is right or not.
