Hi Kathryn, well when I woke up the snow is gone but it’s still black or dark.  I looked and there is no black background frozen

You have the moon frozen
To get rid of the darkness you'd have to get rid of the moon

I think it is another background effect that is still frozen.
If you can copy and paste your effects here, we can maybe figure this out.
