Eventually got the rainbow rocks can someone please explain to me the pros n cons of using these thanks

They make any mushroom planted in them RFH immediately. This is helpful when you need to set up for a specific mythological critter for a challenge such as topiaries or the underwater myths, as it eliminates the waiting time and lets you switch setup quickly.

I can't think of any cons to using them, provided you know what they do and don't, say, plant a mushroom you need to be fully grown in them.

I am using them for my quests regularly because it saves time.
As Claire pointed out you can just plant any mushroom you want in the rocks and it is directly RFH.

I don't see any cons. You can put the rainbow rocks in your storage area and just use them if you need them.

The cons of using a ready for harvest mushroom (or rainbow rocks which make any mushroom ready for harvest) in general are the pests of course that would be the only con I can see such as mice and ducks when on land and mermaids when under water.

The pests are going to be exactly the same as if you grew the mushroom to RTH in an ordinary pot.  But if you need a RTH mushroom for the myths you want, or the underwater myths, you've got to put up with the pests either way!

The other "con", which might not worry you too much, is that when you harvest the mushroom it doesn't save any rainforest.
