That is very normal I'm afraid. In all my years in Fairyland I have only ever managed to get 1 Pineapple and only a handful of Grapes and Strawberries.

What will help a lot is if you can buy a Crystal Ball pot from the Marketplace. You will still spend diamonds to plant the flowers but you can immediately see what you will get without spending diamonds to grow them. So you can only grow the rare fruits and discard the rest.

My mistake. I forgot to check Grace's garden before answering.

Then only the 1st part of my previous answer in relevant. Even with the Crystal Ball it can be very difficult to get what you want as it is totally random. I did Waxwings a few days ago and I discarded several flowers before I got lucky and got a Strawberry.

I have done this many years ago but never got to throw away 18 fruits. A good one came around after 4 or 5 tries.
I wasn’t just going for a pineapple.  I would have stopped after a strawberry or a grape

I think maybe it’s good to try at longer periods than one after another
