Hi! I recently embarked on the chams endeavor, and it's been a long journey! To give and example, let me tell you I removed my yellow chameleana by mistake just now, so here I go again, back to orange chams.
Any tips and tricks to make the quest easier are welcome!

The only thing that I tried to do was to try to get my latest cham plants (those with the most amount of time left on them) to go up through the colours in case I did run out of time was a lot easier to replant a red and get it to yellow for example than to run out of time on a violet - so I would shuffle my plants around to keep those with the longest time left on them to the left.  In theory this challenge is a game of patience.  As long as there is at least one other garden doing the same range of colours as you, you should get through.  It does get tricky on the higher colours trying not to spot a 10th of a colour you need to change up before you have had them spotted in your garden.  I think this is why they were designed to have a 3 month rth time.

I don’t remember specific tips, but I do remember I had a spreadsheet and I really relied on that, even though sometimes I would get confused and mess it up. But it did help me keep track of where I was in the process.

Tips to the Chameleons:
*have 10 of a color spotted in your garden before you spot the 10th of same color in another garden. After you have the 10 spotted you can spot however many you want. Just be careful of multiples of 10 as they color change your plant.

*to avoid a color change (say you have 9 greens spotted and you do not want it to change church by olors) simply freeze your garden and go hunt that color down and spot it ( make sure garden is frozen). When you unfreeze the count is reset (starts at 10, 20, 30 etc) and you can accidentally or intentionally spot that color for another 9 times without a color change occurring. When you have 19 you freeze and do it again...29, 39, 49...

I am currently in the middle of this challenge and I find my trusty spreadsheet works for me. I keep track of number of each colour I have seen and what I want to see.

I also freeze while out and about hunting (see tip above by L and Elfin) as I always fall over multiples of colours I don't want. I have flipped only 1 flower so far and it was quite easy to fix given it was Orange which turned a flower to Yellow. On the harder to get colours (Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet) you definitely want to be careful and this is why I definitely recommend freezing your garden while you are out hunting. Once you find an alert for the colour you are after, dash back and unfreeze your garden.

I suggest staying away from hunting in the Rainbow Gardens as you never know what colour you are going to get. But if you like to live life on the edge, go for it!

This is a lovely, fairly relaxed challenge to do and the players I have met along the way are like a little community who help  each other along.

Always watch you number    nothing worse than getting to high colours and you burst yourself  because you lost count   I know from personal experience  😉 🙂  xxx
