When I was a child, my parents or grandparents would take my younger brother and I to Santa's Grotto in the run up to Christmas! Usually set up in shopping centres, a snow-decorated path would lead to a cosy little room where Santa Claus sat waiting to welcome boys and girls. We would sit by Santa and tell him what we wanted for Christmas, he would endeavour to do his very best, and we would each leave with a small gift like a selection box of chocolate bars. So sweet.
