I am slowly working on attracting caucus race critters and I'm not doing badly, and I spotted quite a few lories and mice all while hunting for card gardeners, but I have trouble spotting dodos. I have only spotted one and since then.... nothing.
Can anybody share any tips for spotting them. Thanks.

I have spotted all of my Caucus Race and Tea Party characters when hunting for Card Gardeners - I haven't hunted specifically for any of them, they've just shown up.  I know it's not really much of a tip for spotting them, but I haven't had any problems with either of the sets so far :)

That's exactly what I was doing, but I just can't find dodos. :-(

You will, they'll show up when you least expect them.

I really didn't find it worth targetting them specifically, since the setup is so fleeting and the advertised gardens had either had the critter spotted, or were far too busy to stand a chance spotting.

If you really want to target the Dodo, I guess you would need to take the time in each garden to check whether a Dinah or White Rabbit had visited, then check whether the leftmost card had changed in the correct direction since then.  There's no guarantee it's the correct card but you'd at least know that there was at least a slim chance of the Dodo turning up.

It's a lot of faff though, and quite time-consuming!

Thanks for your suggestions, Tracey.

Tracey, I did that when I was hunting my last Tea Party critter, just to see how successful I might be. I didn't need card gardeners, so I took my time and read the cards and food tables in each target garden. I eventually got it, but I wouldn't recommend doing that every time. The only good thing about that method, other than getting the critter, was that I saved a bit of gold. (I had already gone through my sprinkles on card gardeners earlier.)

I actually found mine by perusing the wildlife tabs...so many kind people advertised. I would check the plates to see if the dodo had shown yet and many had so just passed them by. But...sometimes it seemed that someone had just posted and fresh organic or super was out. Add in a shroom...and the chances were high that one would show before the food was too old. If it got beyond the hour, then most likely it was not the Dodo. I am not up on the timings...but that worked for me. As well, I did check out friends' gardens and checked to see whether Dinah or the White Rabbit had given instructions and whether a new card was in the Dodo spot. It just took a few moments of my time. Some others were kind enough to write on their garden wall whether there was the right card out or whether it was being tested(with instructions such as five was too low so trying six). That helped as well. And don't discount the power of friends letting you know when they are set up for the Dodo.

Thanks Mary. Lots of good ideas. When I know I have a correct card I post it in the wildlife guide, but I like the idea of also posting it on the garden wall. I'll try to remember to do it.

Wow  I can't believe, I just went to the wildlife tab and found a dodo in the second garden I tried. So happy! One more to spot. Thanks everyone.

Guys you won't believe this. Went a bit down in the wildlife list of dodo gardens and I spotted another one! Total luck! Wow!
