You need to be on a laptop or PC to find the pot id, then you roll your mouse over the pot & right click to get a pop up menu & choose "inspect" or on some browsers "inspect element". This will open a window in your garden with code & you will see the pot ID where it says plantpopup title....

how do i get to find out what pots to use for the quest im on i change them a few time as they keep going grey can anyone help me im not very good at this x

I'm not sure what quest you are doing, but as you have grey Rosa Praecocia plants, it's presumably your praecocia pots you need to know. Only standard pots from the regular tab in the pot shop will work, and it's never the rusty bucket. That leaves ten possibilities if you want to work it out by trial and error.
