Just to confirm please:  if my gold runs out and I want to put food out on the tables, I have to buy the gold or wait till I receive the free gold?  Thanks!

It isn't free.  You'd need gold to buy it.  But if gold is short, or you want to preserve it, there's nothing wrong with using the free food.

30 gold is for the Triple feed, you can still do single feed organic for 10 gold

Yes, if you run out of gold, you need to buy it now. There are plants you can grow but by the time they are ready and assuming you have room in your garden, it's not worth it i don't think....There are peoples firsts too but you need gold to water......
