I am lucky enough to be able to buy Gold regularly, so I wasn't too concerned about the temporary change to the "Collect from Friends" feature while the developers tackle cheat accounts. But then I was looking through the feedback threads and I read that this Gold will really be missed by lots of fairies. So I have a gift for anyone who needs it :)
