Pot Number and Candy Critters

Does anyone know if the pot number has anything to do with the shape of the bud that you get with the Candy Critters?  I've already gotten the same bud shape twice (in the same pot) and wondering whether I am going to keep getting that same shape over and over again?

No, it doesn't.  And you can't use the same pot twice anyway.

Thanks!  I am dumping newly planted plants if the bud shape does not indicate that it could be a color I could use (based on a chart that I saw somewhere for the Candy Critters).  I had gotten the same bud shape twice and I just wanted to make sure that I at least had the possibility of getting a different bud shape with the same pot as I have already tried all of the colors that come from the shape I kept getting.

I've dumped several plants to get the right colour and got different bud shapes with the same pot... So I don't think that the pot number has anything to do with it.

I’m thankful it doesn’t have anything tondo with it because as Mike said, there can’t be a calculator or any spoilers. I don’t care for the candy wildlife at all but I am so excited to start them because of the process of the challenge involved

Hope someone can tell me where I can go for help? I found a violet sugarsnout in Tina's Garden. It was my 5th one and didn't plant a seed in my garden? I just need to know if I am missing something.
