I need a trim (i.e. two) on my TOPS and I don't have the rainbow rocks.

An enchanted Pink Mush usually attracts the occasional unicorn. It's been 16 hours now, always three plates, one of which super. I changed the organic occasionally, even dumped a a few after first feed. Now 3 superfood.

What's wong with my garden...??

Absolutely nothing. What you describe is totally normal - the enchanted mushrooms do attract the uni, but they also attract a lot of competition. If  you've never had to wait this long for one before, you have been astonishingly lucky in the past and are now seeing perfectly normal results.

Thanks for your reply, Claire. xx

Did your hear that loud bang just now...?

That was my bubble bursting. ;-)

10 hours and well over 20 feeds later and I'm still waiting for a unicorn to trim my second bush. In total I've had close to 50 feeds of super in almost 1.5 days  - 1 unicorn, 3 TOP Unis, 4 or 5 Peggy and the rest was dragons with a few mice and a mallard thrown in.

So the chances of getting a unicorn with an enchanted pink mush are now 1 in 50?

This is not normal.

There must be something wrong with my garden.

Or maybe the superfood?

I would honestly use a ready for harvest pink cap, but nothing is wrong with your garden or the food. This is totally normal. I don’t ever use superfood for unicorns because most of it goes to mice but it is personal choice and if you have a time constraint...I’m not attempting the topiaries until I have the rainbow rocks because the rainbow of fish is pretty easy but I know many have done it without them. There is nothing wrong though, your results se totally normal. Good luck.

I can't! I don't have the rainbow rocks.

I only just returned to fairyland after a few years break a couple of months ago. There's so much I don't have, and getting it now - years after everybody else did - is so hard. Rainbow of Fish seems impossible, there just aren't enough unerwater gardens.

I have never waited this long for a uni. In the past 2 days I have seen gardens with enchanted pinbk mush and competition for the food getting unis (multiple). On superfood.

If I don't use superfood, the unis would all get missed.

I am worried my bush will run out of time before this uni shows, and then all my hard fork of the last week or so will go to waste.

This is the most frustrating moment I have ever experienced in FL. I started over 10 years ago.

Without the greenhouse, the Candies are near impossible. Without the rainbow rocks, the Tops are near impossible. If there is no way to catch up, I should just give up and stop playing.

Sorry that you are having bad luck and need so much patience, this surely can be frustrating!

Patience is needed very often in FL, especially with the very rare critters and the randomness. There is nothing "wrong" if you have to wait so long at times, it is just bad luck. In each feed the odds are the same again, so it doesn´t matter whether you wait 10 or 100 feeds - each try is the same.

You can avoid it a bit with careful planning. I know, in your case it is too late now for this topiary bush, because there is not enough time to use a pink cap now. But in general you can absolutely do it without rainbow rocks. I did most of the topiaries without it - I stopped continueing them after having reached the rainbow stage - and I did them without rainbow rocks. I meanwhile finished the Rainbow of Fish, though, but that was afterwards. I always took the time to plant a fresh Pink Cap when the new stage of the topiary bush began, I didn´t dust the bush and let it grow happily all the 5 days until it was fully grown, so my pink cap was ready whenever I needed it. I know it needs a lot of patience, but it is doable - and this is true with all other plants which you might need for a trim and which need a long growing time, for example the Ventus Quatriflorus which you will need when you reach the Topiary Leopards.

I  am doing the Candies without Greenhause, too, and I don´t find it impossible either. It surely takes longer, because of course it is easier if you can put 3 plants into store. But longer dosn´t mean impossible.... just more patience ;)

I wish you best of luck for your next try :)
