I've had several goes at attracting Jack, used supershroom and the herb to keep away magpies but never get a good collection and odd one or two i get are missed.  tips please

Use a supershroom to deter the Giant, and a nightrose to deter the single magpies, and they should come pretty easily.

Hello, thanks Claire and Tracey.  Yes Claire,I have read your helpful forum post and thought I'd followed it to the letter last time I tried.  This time I thought I'd wait to use my last toadstool seed before planting and see if anyone could help.  I know I mustnt dust beanstalk until ready for fairy but Is there an optimum timing for this?  getting so frustrated.  These days takes ages to acquire fairytale toadstools to try again.

The fairytale toadstools can be ready in 2 days as long as you fully dust them with diamond and fruiting dust.
Even if you were to plant a treasure toadstool now and fully dust it, half of your growing beanstalk would go to waste since it needs 2days 7 hours to be harvested.
You'd basically have 7 hours of usage from it(and 21 hours from the 2nd one).

Oh, thats interesting Roxanne.  I thought the beanstalk had to be fully grown before you started attracting jack.. I was being a bit dim on this then.. Still I'd best get the use out of it that I can and plant the seed I have.

The toadstools take 24 hours if you fully dust and fruit dust them, not 2 days.

thats a relief!  thanks Tracey. I've planted and treated the toadstool so lets wait and see.  Should I dust the beanstalk ?

The beanstalk does indeed need to be fully grown to attract Jack.

I was mistaken with the times that's my bad, I believe your toadstool will be ready about the same time as your beanstalk. (maybe a few hours off, not sure). :)

Don't dust the beanstalk until your treasure is ready.
