I am including myself. Ok, so the goal is, besides attracting and finding candy crits, is to find the correct combo for the violets of each type. So when it says "wrong shape, right colour," it means for the violet critter? I am so lost. And I know it is early, I can't wait for someone wiser than I to post something. But this is the most fun I've had in awhile!!

Yes.  You are looking for a 3 plant combination which will attract the violet of each critter; and, in looking for it, you can / will attract the other colors.  Attracting orange, green, or indigo tell you that the corresponding plant is completely correct in shape, color, and placement for the violet of that type of wildlife.  Attracting red, yellow, or blue tells you the corresponding plant is partially correct in that it is the correct place and shape but the wrong color.

None of the new wildlife eat Cake, right?

Ange, look up each of the wildlife you are attracting and that will tell you something about the plant combinations you need.

For example, you are attracting blue sweettooths.  When I look them up in the Guide, it says:

"Attracted when you have exactly 3 fruiting Candyflowers in your Garden, and your 3nd (rightmost) Candy is the correct shape, but the wrong colour"

Checking your garden, your rightmost plant is a red round candy.  Since the plant must be the correct shape but wrong color to attract a blue sweetooth, you now know that your 3rd plant for the Violet Sweettoth must be a round candy.  You'll have to keep exploring to find out which color of round candy, though.

Just look up each critter you are attracting and make note of why you are attracting it.

That is correct.  You can see what food each type eats  listed in the wildlife guide.

LOL.  You'll get the hang of it.  Don't worry. :)  And, keep in mind, you can just have fun attracting whatever random critters you attract, too.  You don't necessarily have to work on the puzzle part of it.
