Festive Trees

I still don't think I understand the reason for getting more than one festive tree. Could someone tell me what happens if you  open the gift before Christmas.. ?? I thought you had to wait til Christmas to get your "gift"

We do have to wait until Christmas.  If you try to open it before, you just get a message saying it can't be opened yet. :)

People make more than one tree for the fun of it.  Perhaps they want to try for a specific look or harvest more trees to save the rainforest.  The way I look at it, I'm going to be hunting anyway (for pots, quests, etc.).  Why not have an empty tree or two in my garden and use that hunting to the fullest?  Then, after Christmas, I select a few that I want to keep and harvest the rest to help the rainforest. :)

Should also add that some use multiple trees to attract seasonal wildlife after the ice flower is no longer available. :)

And you get a fairy light pot when you harvest the tree.

I make them because … well, why not?  I like the look of them, and if I'm hunting for pots then I might as well have something in to catch the ornaments which drop.  And they save 10 square feet of rainforest so quite a lot more than most plants.  I kept all of mine for years, because I didn't like to harvest them, but ended up with well over 100 which was silly -you can't use that many and it felt wrong not to harvest them for the rainforest.  I now only keep the nicest ones and harvest the rest :)

Love trees. Love putting out old favourites. I usually run at Rudolph Only garden at some point, (so people can catch up on Snowman Nose Collection) which takes six trees and an ice flower (just to keep it seasonal) and keep swapping the trees over. And I like to try for fancy colour trees ... They're a gift that never stops giving ...
