I have been waiting for four days for a second black squirrel to visit to complete a quest started 5 1/2 days ago.  Anyone with any ideas?  I have tried superfood, but that still only gets me more greys faster.  The devs will only tell the usual - it's luck.  If everyone had this sort of luck no one would have completed the quests.  I have tried rearranging the garden, used a shroom (but don't have enough jewels for more).  Any ideas greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

patience -- that's the only advice we can give

Rearranging the garden won't do anything and neither will a supershroom or superfood. You really haven't been waiting very long considering how rare they are so it's just patience.

Thanks, Nicole and Andrea, but since one came within a day or so of starting and I have seen MANY squirrel gardens with several in a much shorter time, that rare thing seems just another variation of the "it's luck" reason.  Rare used to mean about 10% of the time.  For me it will be more like 1%.  Have had plenty of greys but just the one black.  I think the lesson I will take from this is that I will never do a quest needing binos or melanistics - until I absolutely must.  And that will be a loooong time coming.

I have noticed that I get some albino/melanistic critters more often than others.

My first ever albino mole took seventy ornery ones before it bothered to show up... And he's still behind, percentage wise ...

I tend to get the albino grey squirrels more than the black squirrels. Good luck, they can be frustrating for sure!
