How do I get the love flower in another pot, like the floating heart?

When the love flower is,ready to harvest you can start dust it to get the heart. Usually if you leave at least one,  someone will dust it as a gift to you.

No I want to plant a love flower into a heart pot. ... maybe I'm not understanding. ..

You can't, Donnielle.  The love flower cannot be planted in our own pot.  The only way to get it in a heart pot is as Kalie May described above -- wait until it's RFH and then stardust it.  That will animate the flower and change the glass vase into the red heart.
